Erosion Control and Soil Stabilization CONTECH Geotextiles (Woven and Non-woven)
CONTECH Geotextiles

CONTECH offers both woven and nonwoven geotextiles that apply to a broad range of civil engineering construction, paving, drainage, and other applications. These engineered geotextiles perform three basic functions: separation, stabilization, and filtration.

Product Highlights: CONTECH Geotextiles (Woven and Non-woven)

Woven geotextiles are generally preferred for applications where high strength properties are needed, but where filtration requirements are less critical and planar flow is not a consideration. Under heavy traffic and construction loads, woven geotextiles reduce localized shear failure in weak subsoil conditions, improving construction over soft subsoil and providing access to remote areas through separation.

Non-woven geotextiles are needle-punched, continuous filament engineering fabrics capable of providing planar water flow in addition to their soil stabilization and separation functions. Typical applications include access roads, aggregate drains, asphalt pavement overlays, and erosion control.

For applications such as roadways, parking lots, loading areas, and construction sites, CONTECH geotextiles reduce subsoil migration into the aggregate base course, enhancing the long-term performance of the base course while preserving its drainage and structural capacities. For waterway erosion control, CONTECH C70/06 Monofilament Geotextiles can help reduce soil piping and embankment erosion.
