Light-gage corrugated steel pile shell has been a popular and dependable foundation system since its development in the early 1940s. CONTECH HEL-COR Pile Shell has been used in soils of all kinds where medium-capacity friction or end-bearing piles are required. HEL-COR Shell/Timber Composite piles are widely used where water tables are relatively high.
 

Benefits of the HEL-COR Pile Shell:

  • Economy - Substantially lower cost than fully treated timber piles
  • Strength - High-strength guards against collapse from soil pressure during adjacent pile installation
  • Tightness - Pile connector is fully embedded in the timber pile butt to assure a water-resistant connection

MR Credit 4 – Recycled Content, 1-2 Points

Intent – Increase the demand for building products that incorporate recycled content materials. The sum of post-consumer recycled content plus one-half of the pre-consumer content constitutes at least 10% (1 point) or 20% (2 points), based on cost, of the total value of the materials in the project.

  • Up to 80% recycled content

MR Credit 5.1 – Regional Materials, 1-2 Points

Intent – Increase demand for building materials and products that are extracted and manufactured locally to a job site in hopes to reduce the environmental impact that would result from transporting these goods. Products manufactured, extracted and recycled within 500 miles of the project site for a minimum of 10% (1 point) or 20% (2 points), based on cost of the total materials value.
